Miss Dukes, Miss Welford, Miss Fenton and Mrs Corcoran all welcome you to Year 2! We have lots of new and exciting topics to study throughout the year, from the Great Fire of London to investigating our 7 continents and 5 oceans!

Geography - Our 7 continents and 5 oceans!
In Year 2, we have been learning about the seven continents and the five oceans. Using maps and globes, the children explored where they live and where family members are from around the world. They have worked extremely hard and developed their understanding of map features, directions, local and world maps, as well as creating ocean fact files.
Art - Takashi Murakami!
In Year 2, we have been learning about the artist Takashi Murakami. We have enjoyed exploring his artwork and creating our own pieces inspired by his style. The children loved learning fun facts about the artist and using bold colours to design a range of different artworks. Year 2 have thoroughly enjoyed learning about a new and exciting style of art.
